ME AND THE BLUES DON"T MAKE GOOD COMPANY

I'm singin' the blues today,
Got a down feeling that won't go away...
Don't know what to do,
I am just melancholy and blue...
I am glad that I don't feel like this often, it is tiring,
Though they say these times can be inspiring...
So, I will sit here and write about the blues,
Hoping that will turn it loose...
I've got the blues, and the blues have got me,
Together we don't make such good company...
Oh, I wish that I was on the beach somewhere,
Livin' and laughin' without a care...
Yea, I got the deep down ole' blues today;
Can't wait 'til they go away...
I need to be up, not down, I need to be free,
Me and the blues don't make such good company....
