Contrasts! They are everywhere;

With great differences to compare.

A person might seem tough on the outside,

With the gentleness of an angel living inside...

The sun can be shining bright, it can be warm too,

When all of a sudden, a blizzard whips by you!

A thorny bush stands in the garden looking plain,

Until a rose blooms, and, its beauty fills your senses, again and again...

The world seems huge, but, you manage to meet like minds,

Often from places that you have left far behind...

The Earth appears to be alone in our galaxy,

Until you take a look through a telescope, what a sight you will see...

Man seems to be alone, as we go through our counted days,

Until a miracle reveals itself, in oh, so many ways...

A child might be small, but their minds, their hearts are not,

One often wonders if it is they or us, which is being taught...

A tiny kitten seems so friendly, so tame,

Until it is near some kind of wild game...

A raindrop appears to be tiny, even minute,

Until there are enough to get you soaking wet...

A song is just a composition until it is sung,

Then, it becomes a hit, and, is sung by everyone...

Love is just a feeling, until it is shared by two,

Then it is the greatest thing that life ever knew...

Yes, life is filled with contrasts, some good, some bad,

They are there to remind us of all that we have had...
