STORMS OF LIFE

We all have storms to ride out,
Such is what life is about...
There is no denying the rain,
Nor the feelings of pain...
You need to find shelter, and, solitude,
Forget the attitude...
There is nothing you can do,
When either life, or the weather, come at you,
Except to seek a way to deal,
With that which is strong and real...
There are no exceptions when they hit,
And, in their wake you cannot quit.
No, you are not able to withstand the storm's rage,
Any more than you can turn life's page...
Therefore, know that it will always be,
That each will come unexpectedly,
Be prepared to face the worst,
In doing so, you can get to safety first...
Know that time will throw things your way,
That will make you remember that fateful day...
Be grateful for the moment now,
It could be your fondest memory, somehow...
Yes, a storm is coming, life is happening, each are capable of great destruction,
But, neither can hamper, or hinder, a person of wise, and knowing construction...
Fear not, be ever aware,
The storm of life has a message to declare...

Great poem. I love the parallels between a storm and life. It's a great motif to blend in. I wrote a very dark poem called This storm of Mine with similar elements. Loved it!
God Bless. . .

Thank you, you are in some ways the same kind of mind as I, so, I expect to see some underlying or overlapping of the line of thoughts... God Bless you as well...
