SPLENDOR IN THE NIGHT SKY

I am fascinated by the Universe. It is so vast and so beautiful. It is cool and hot. It is color and darkness. It is within our time frame, and, it is millions, even billions, even trillions, of light years beyond us.

I would love to go into outer space and explore. It would be a life changing journey; travelling Earthly fast, yet, space slow...

So many contrasts in the Universe, so very many contrasts. It holds the mystery of life itself, as well as the origin of life, and, yet, it is deadly for man, outside the perfectly engineered space craft and suit...

Talk about fascinating! The first ones who decided that they could design such craft and suits were amazing brains. And the first one(s) who decided to go into space were brave beyond comprehension. Such are the risks of discovery, eh?

I have often wished that I could interview an astronaut, just to get a human take on their very adventure. The interviews which have been done are guarded by NASA and military code. They are allowed to talk but, I would love to get into the very essence of what it was like to go into such an unknown realm.

All previous design and advancement was done by skilled mathematicians and physicists, and, many other brilliant people who have the gift of measuring mortality against the unknown. It is incredible to me, awe inspiring, indeed!

I love to watch the night sky. When I lived in Las Vegas, we would spend many hours at the telescope. We would see many things which were not normal or usual. Such splendor lies in the night skies... Such splendor...
