ANTICIPATION OF THE COMING MONTHS...

The pristine effects of the sunshine heightens the enchantment of the Autumn colors, while the cold air blows the rainbow of colored leaves around; dancing, flitting, and compiling where they might, until another gust lifts them effortlessly to a new landing spot...

It is Halloween, there are crisp dried stalks, bales of hay, ghouls, ghosts, skeletons, massive webs, spooky lights, pumpkins, black cats, and all sorts of creepiness lining lawns, windows, and more, all in anticipation of Trick or Treaters, as the sun sets, and the Harvest moon shines, eerily adding to the effects of this day...

November is upon us, which brings the anticipation of such things as hunting for some, skiing for others, ice-skating, snowmen, sledding, the Holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve. A great flurry of human activity ensues in the coming months, keeping minds busy with preparation as opposed to falling into the doldrums of the cold winter months. Wonderful scents, beautiful sights, and expectation to match the sugar plum visions of a child; each are a part of this season, each enlightening our minds, hearts, and souls. Is it a wonder that this season is so popular???

I detest the cold, yet, each year at this time, I am filled with childlike foresight of fun, laughter, and playing in the freezing snow. I recall times in the mountains of years gone by, and wish for the same events to be relived. I long to go to the highest hill I know of, which is quite high, and sled down, again and again, until I am too cold or tired to make it back up, then return home, frozen, wet, and exhausted, to enjoy some dark hot chocolate with marshmallows and all. You see, from November 1ST through the Holidays, there is much going on in the minds of old and young! And this year is no exception, plus, given the current economical strains, people are more likely to give in to their youthful dreams, if only to relieve some of the hardship, or, to recapture some of those magical moments on a more conscious level...
