Such a lovely day. Butterflies flitting to and fro, the birds playfully rushing from tree to tree, the gentle wind creating sunlight prisms on the Earth below the trees, and, the sky a beautiful shade of blue...

Dinner is roasting the oven, the scent wafting for quite some distance, filling the house with the warmth and aroma of home.

Football is on the big screen, the radio plays a tune in another room, and, the computer screen is bearing the results of tapping on the keyboard.

Still, there is a silence of peace and wholesomeness in the air. It is wonderful feeling, not many days are as fine as this one today, though they could be...

A household separated by individual wants and needs, yet, one thread binds that household into one; the thread of love, the thread of respect. No quarrels, no pressures, no unnecessary words.

Such is the nature of the autumn weekend. While there are variations in each home, it is pretty consistent for most people, especially on Sunday. It is a day of quiet pleasure, of chosen activity which does not require much more than a presence for participation.

Of course, not all weekends are like this, but, the ones which are, certainly serve their purpose well, and, aid to the overall conviction that weekends are for reconnecting, regardless of the source...
