ALABASTER LIES...

She sits enclosed in alabaster white walls, with her alabaster white skin, and her alabaster purity of being...

Since birth, she has been raised in purity, including the house in which she lives, the foods she eats, the drinks she swallows, and the people she associates with. She has never known anything besides the way she lives, though, she often gazes out her window out into the world below, wondering why it is so close to her, but, so far removed...

In these years, cities have gone up around her. She has never been allowed to leave her complex, for her family refuses to let her be exposed to normal life, in fear that she would welcome it, despite her upbringing. They plan to keep her chaste as long as they live...

Her Father is the only one who leaves the complex, for supplies, and such that they need to sustain their secluded life. He also goes to sell things that they can pay for what they need, and build upon their crested estate. He often spends the night out when he visits the real world, but, no one questions him, no asks him what is down there, what he did, or anything else. He is the master of the family, and he is to be respected at all times, regardless. Each person in the complex has been raised to understand this, and if their curiosity gets the best of them, they would never let on...

The alabaster skinned girl is named Ina. She is now 17 years old, and has never been anything but the youngest female member of a growing complex of people who are intelligent, self-sufficient, and whom live in a set of standards and beliefs, which are foreign to modern times. Ina is an orphan, adopted by the master, whom she calls Father, for he raised her since she was approximately 3 years old. She has a good life, she could want for nothing, still, her mind wonders, and wanders a bit too much, which is apparent to the family, causing great scoldings, and slaps now, and again. This always perplexes Ina, as she does not understand why they find the idea of wonder offensive. She has never been informed of their ultimate purpose for having raised her, and so, she is not privy to the reason they intend to keep her more pure, than even they...

This is a group of people who hates the world, despise the sin, the lies, the falsehoods, and the negativity from it. They decided many years ago to become separate from the world, except to bargain and wager with it. They created their own creed to live by, and purchased a large amount of land, up in the lower mountain range, on which they built a great white confine, surrounded by fences, and other security features, including guards, dogs, and more...

To be continued...
